Hi, guys! I’m popping in from Spain to say a quick ‘hello’; I’m here with my photographer, Andrew Boyd, as we’re shooting for the Bright.Bazaar book. I’ve found Spain to be a great source of inspiration for many years because it’s packed full of interesting designers, architects and interiors, so I’m really pleased to be able to include stylish Spanish homes as part of the mix in my first book. Beyond the interiors, I also find the country’s natural environment to be more than forthcoming when it comes to colour inspiration – I mean, just check out that hot pink front door, it’s perfect Bright.Bazaar style! Of course, it helps that the sun’s rays spotlight areas of interest, naturally saturating each hue with their inherent warmth. Yet colour seems to sit so comfortably in Spain, whether it’s the weathered burnt orange hues of a traditionally rendered building or the looks-so-good-you-could-eat-it purple colour of the ever-present bougainvillea flowers, colour can be found in abundance there. As I head off to work, I’ll leave you with some colourful sights from this inspiring country. Have you ever been to Spain? Which countries inspire you when it comes to colour?
