MR. BAZAAR WORE: T-SHIRT, J.CREW / BELT, ASOS / WATCH, DANIEL WELLINGTON / SHORTS, J.CREW / TOTE BAG, TATE / SHOES, OFFICE
So here it is: my first style post! Long-time readers of Bright.Bazaar will know of my penchant for the bow tie, and in the introduction to my book I wrote about how colour cheers my day not only at home, but in what I wear and see, too. As I’m already blogging about my colourful travel inspirations I figured it would be fun to share my bright fashion inspirations with you, too. The result? A new series called Bright.Style where I’ll be posting my outfits and sharing the different sources so you can either get the look yourself, or perhaps take ideas from it for your other half.
To kick the column off I’m sharing a casual summer look that suits the extortionately hot and humid temperatures we’ve experienced in London recently. The outfit started with one of my favourite nautical tees from J.Crew, and I built it out from there by pairing it with their washed-out mint green Stanton shorts and a classic pair of Loafers from Office. I wanted to gently reference the nautical style, so the leather anchor belt was ASOS was perfect, as was the red and navy stripe of my Daniel Wellington ‘Cambridge’ watch. I like how the tote bag I bought at the Malevich exhibition at the Tate Modern injects graphic colour into the look. What do you think of my ‘summer in the city’ outfit, folks?

Love this post! How long ago did you get your shirt from J.Crew? Can’t seem to find on their site. Thanks!

Hope all is well. I was wondering about the fit of your tee. Did you get the J. Crew in tall or slim and how tall are you? I’m guessing it is a size medium. Thanks!
@John – This tee is size small! 🙂
