You might remember my travel guide to the Hamptons from last year, which was inspired by the movie Something’s Gotta Give. Well, last weekend I headed to the Hamptons to go design and color hunting, and it turns out there are stacks of inspiring stores and boutiques to tour and shop. I decided to round up six of my favorites into one post – click through after the jump to get a sneak peek inside each space!
First up is one of my favorite Chicago-based home decor brands, Jayson Home. The company just opened their Hamptons store for the summer in Sag Harbor, so I was excited to check it out in person so soon after the doors opened. From the moment I saw the store exterior, I was charmed: That awning! The window seat! The pillows! Love.
The buyers at Jayson Home scour the globe for modern and vintage furnishings and home accessories that are timeless, elegant, sophisticated but always of the moment and edgy. Their Alma Chair (pictured above) caught my eye as the perfect piece for #BBbrownstone – I love that gorgeous indigo upholstery.
As you walk into Serena & Lily’s Beach House on the outskirts of East Hampton, this is the lofty and airy space that greets you. All kinds of dreamy, right?! The jute rug, blue and white color palette and splashes of graphic patterns? Consider this very much Bright.Bazaar approved!
I like how the store has a series of three main rooms that each have a different room set and vibe. The ticking stripe sofa in this living room set up was one of my favorites from the whole store…
…alongside the Balboa Bed, which is styled to perfection here.
Third on my list is MONC XIII, a store owned by Natasha Esch who travels the globe to curate unique and timeless treasures from the 18th century to modern day.
This kitchen? Yes, I know, divine!
As well as the exquisite pieces on sale, the store itself is also a sight to behold. I mean, this spiral staircase is a gorgeous architectural feature in its own right. Well worth checking out if you take a trip to Sag Harbor!
Just across the street from MONC XIII is a small and intimate store called Bloom. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner Mona Nuremberg and it was inspiring to hear how she chooses pieces for the store. Mona believes in letting craftsmanship speak for itself and doesn’t have a set concept, she just buys what she likes. And it works! The store is a lesson in pared back beauty, with tactile textures aplenty.
Alongside an impressive edit of antiques, there is gorgeous glassware from Europe, delicate handmade ceramics, textiles and fine art.
I always love to pop my head into a Mecox store and this past weekend saw my first visit to their East Hampton location. Can we please discuss this gallery wall of vintage nautical flags? What a great way to add color and personality to a room!
My sixth home decor store not to miss in the Hamptons is Homenature, which is the perfect spot to check out if you are looking for some beautiful neutrals to layer into a space. Everything here has a natural, organic and effortlessly stylish and simple vibe. You can’t help but feel calmer just by walking around the space! Have you visited any of these stores? I LOVE the Serena and Lily store! I try to go every summer…now I need to check out the rest of these. If you get a chance you might want to check out Touch Goods in Southold (it’s on the North Fork) – really cute place with vintage finds and contemporary, mid-century style pieces. I think you’d love it!

Hi Will, you hit most of my favs. ,I can’t wait to see Jayson Home. I’ll add antiques from Lauren Copen in Watermill, English County in Southampton, Mecox in Southampton (the best and biggest) Le Lampade in Sag harbor for vintage lighting,Beach Bungalow in Sag Harbor and Rum Runner in Southampton. And just an FYI there are 2 Homenatures in Southampton now with different content in each.
