Three’s company? Well, it sure is a case of company for the better when it comes to this colorful trio. Crushed peach, deep indigo and oatmeal join together for this week’s Bright.Interiors posts that shines the light on the perfect palette for colorful summer decorating – in fact, it’s force to be reckoned with! Sure, blue and white is a classic palette that has an enduring and dynamic quality that sees it somehow feel fresh season on season. Yet, add in a dash of soft blush pink and a hit of intense indigo, and somehow that classic palette elevates to a whole new level. The key here is to make sure you temper the peach and blues with a neutral – oatmeal shades work great at this. Think: a weathered, whitewashed table lamp, or a rustic wooden bench placed along the dining table or at the foot of the bed. When it comes to fashion, we think of layering as something for fall. However, when it comes to decor layering is your best friend all year round, and it couldn’t be more true with this summer decorating palette. Sunsoaked textiles with a faded-like appeal pair beautifully against deep, rich vintage indigo shades, all set against a cool white and oatmeal backdrop. Divine!
