1. Remember the pendant light I referred to fitting in last week’s Love and Life blog post? Well, here it is in place! I love how the hammered metal design looks in the grey and navy palette of the space. Expect to see more peeks inside #BBbrownstone here on the blog, very soon!2. It was cold and colorful in Manhattan on Saturday. Love this primary brights color block action I happened upon!3. NYC was the coldest it’s been in more than 100 years on Sunday, so it was no surprise to see the streets almost completely empty.4. How fun is this ‘candy’ neon sign? Love it!5. These classic NYC fire escapes caught my eye against the crisp cold blue sky on Sunday.6. My blue pair of New Balance shoes are fast becoming a favorite – they are so comfortable! Anyone spot(!) the socks…?!7. I was finally able to take a trip to Dumbo and see Deborah Kass’ YO/OY yellow installation.8. Almost all the snow has now melted from the record snow fall a few weeks back, but this weekend’s frigid cold helped keep the last drifts hanging on!9. Seeing yellow tile on the subway makes me smile.10. I’m obsessed with the navy color I painted our tiny bedroom. I’ll be sharing the full reveal very soon – stay tuned!

I love your pedant lamp and loved the post you wrote last week. Enjoy your week Will. xo
@Mary Ann – I am thrilled with it too. Thanks! 🙂
I can feel the cold through my phone!!! I won’t tell you how hot it was on the west coast this weekend… 😉
@Jenna – It looked beautiful!
Great coat!
@Adam – Thanks! I bought it in Paris a few years ago.
Perfect color choice for the bedroom! I’m like looking forward to seeing more!
@Susan – Oh, thanks! I can’t wait to share the whole space! 🙂
I, too, find that a pop of bright yellow here and there just makes me smile. Must be why we all love daffodils in the early spring. A small vase of them on my breakfast table makes me happy all day.
@Libbynan – Oh, I adore daffs! 🙂
I love reading your blog and it’s a joy to see your colourful perspective on your new home across the pond, but it seems you’ve already forgotten you English routes – (Color?)
@Sophie – Thanks so much for reading! I do a lot of writing for US publications so sometimes US English spelling slips in.
It is amazing how design can surprise us all. Nice pictures.
@Alexandria – Yes, I agree! It’s the best!
