Hurrah, spring is officially here! In honor of the longer days and warmer temperatures I wanted to focus on one of my favorite shades of blue-green in this week’s Six of the Best column – MINT! Specifically, I’m shining the spotlight on mint furniture and how these stylish pieces can elevate your space for the new spring season. Let’s dive in!
1. Acapulco Lounge Chair | Talk about a statement piece – I love this one! Each chair is handcrafted by skilled artisans and certified welders in Mexico, and the saturated mint hue of the chair elevates it to a whole new level. This design is perfect for the popular botanical theme seen in many schemes right now. Pair with house plants and greenery for a colorful, bohemian vibe.
2. Lacquered Wellington Nightstand | This piece nods to Italian expeditions of the past, when campaigning politicians would spend months on the road at a time. I like the detailing of the brass corners (which originally allowed the dressers to function as luggage as well as furniture – a lovely way for travelers to preserve a semblance of home!) and the lacquered finish gives the piece a luxury, high-end feel. Pair with coral for a scheme with added zing, or tone down the hues with a soft grey.
3. Coronado 2pc Mint Sectional Sofa | Nothing beats a big, welcoming mint couch for comfort factor! This mint sofa is perfect for a modern, energized space that packs a punch. The chaise part is movable and it can even be used as a standalone piece – ideal for renters who might be moving into a newly sized living space every year or so. Sectionals are also a great way to zone open plan spaces – use this one to create a cozier and more intimate area for relaxing within in a large living room.
4. Eric Trine Double Octahedron Pedestal | The geometric base of this design by Eric Trine immediately caught my eye. I love how graphic it is while still being open and airy in its design so that it wouldn’t overpower a space. This piece would work outside on the patio or inside as a side table by an armchair. It could even be a bedside table in a tiny nook!
5. Painted Industrial Chair | If you are looking to soften an industrial scheme then these dining chairs are ideal. The delicate pattern laid over the top creates a subtle shift in tone from the weathered powered-coated metal. Mix and match these with solids so that the patterned chairs have added visual impact in the space.
6. Latitude Low Mint Dresser | Choosing a mint piece of furniture in a high glos finish will give the design more prominence within the overall scheme. As mint is, by default, a soft and cool shade it benefits from a high gloss finish that will capture and reflect natural light, giving added life to the design. I like how the solid plinth base of this low dresser makes the piece almost float in the room.
7. Ellis Street Vase | Less is so often more when it comes to vases and this elegant design is a case in point. I love to see it stuffed full garden roses or delicate pink peonies. A simple vase means you can make a whole variety of stems work, no matter what’s in bloom!
8. Tiffany Vase | The faded horizons and layers of delicate pink hues make this trio of vases a beautiful addition to a mint side table or desk. Pair these with a simple flower to allow the vases a chance to shine.
9. Blush Pink Vase | If you only wish for a subtle hint of pink hue in your space then this beautiful blush pink glass bottle vase is the perfect choice.
Which of this week’s picks do you like best, folks?

@Josh – That sounds beautiful. I love how mint softens rough textures like that!
The sofa is super stylish, such a shame I have kids and a dog!! Pastels are such a subtle way to add a splash of colour to a space, without over doing it. Lovely post.

@Dessirée – Great choice!
Love the mint and rose combo! When does your second GMA spot air?
Quite an eclectic mixture of furniture designs shown here, and I particularly like the sectional sofa. It’s reminded me how calming and contemporary mint can be – thanks for the inspiration Will!
