If you’ve been following my Instagram recently you won’t be surprised to read about how much I love Autumn – it’s been fall leaves aplenty over on my feed! I moved to NYC in mid-November last year so almost all of the gorgeous colors and leaves had already fallen. So I’ve waited a whole year to experience my first proper Autumn living in New York state. Needless to say, when the season finally arrived I was super excited to soak up all the color inspiration and seasonal vibes. I decided to head Upstate for a weekend of Autumn adventures with Movado men’s watches. Join in my adventures after the jump!
For my trip, the kind folks at Movado kindly let me wear two of their watches from the Edge collection. Although I always tend to leave my actual packing to the last minute (tell me I’m not alone here, guys?!) the planing of outfits for my trips is something I relish and enjoy. For one of my weekend outfits took inspiration from Movado’s Movado Edge chronograph. The sculpted ray-textured edge was my jumping off point and the catalyst to reference the texture in my ribbed camel sweater. I then paired this with jet black denim to tie in with the black silicone strap.
Remember how I said I pack last minute? Well, here’s the proof – throwing my outfits into a weekender just before I head out the door!
Three, two, one – zip up! Time to hit the road!
I always like to dress smart yet comfortable when I’m traveling, and when I have to drive long distances I like to make sure I wear a watch that feels comfortable around my wrist as I drive.
All aboard! Destination: autumnal adventures!
Spotify playlist on repeat? Check! Sat nav location entered? Check! Coffee and snacks for the road? Check! Friends picked up? Check! Let’s go!
The first stop on my trip Upstate was the Palisades Interstate Park State Line Lookout, which allows for incredible views down the Hudson River and to the New York City skyline in the distance. The fall colors of the trees tumbling down the mountain side to the water was just the kind of scene I had been hoping to see as I eagerly awaited Autumn all year!
For my road trip outfit I wanted to pull out the navy of my striped crew neck, so I wore Movado’s navy faced Edge watch Men’s Movado Edge watch. Alongside the high level of comfort, I also loved the pop of color in the matte red hour hand and glossy gray minute hand against the concave sandblasted midnight blue aluminum dial. For me, simplicity and style almost always go hand in hand and this is a fine case in point. First road trip stop = a success. Onwards!
The road upstate was littered with incredible parks and viewpoints to soak up the autumnal air and gorgeous colors. As I drove further upstate the leaves became more intense in their hues so there were plenty of beautiful Instagram opportunities at each coffee stop.
I’m just sad that Autumn is so short. I love this time of year so much, everyone seems to be in a good mood as the holidays approach, don’t you think?

My dad bought me a Movado watch several years ago and to this day I still get compliments every time I wear it. I also really like both of yours so maybe it’s time to get a second!
