As someone who used to travel a lot, 2020 has felt frustrating. If, like me, you are looking for safe ways to travel then today’s post is for you! I have partnered with airbnb and hand-selected some top airbnb recharge retreats rentals. These are places that you escape to right now, and let’s be honest we could probably all do with some time to recharge right now. I’ve picked some in sunshine-soaked locales and some that have great views. The one thing they all have in commons is their great design. Each of my top picks has enhanced cleaning standards and the entire space is for you and your family.
So here they are: my top four airbnbs to retreat to and recharge your batteries.
Palm Springs – Mid-Century Home
This Palm Springs home would be the perfect place to catch some rays in this beautiful corner of the Californian desert that is almost perpetually sunny! I’d love to unwind by cooking in this beautiful kitchen. The home has two bedrooms so there’s space for the family, plus it has a great pool so plenty of time to blow up a floatie, jump on and recharge with your favourite book as you float the day away. Ahhhh, get me there NOW!
Hudson Hideaway the perfect relaxing retreat
This gem in Hudson would be a great escape for people in the North East. It has a light yet cozy vibe making it the perfect place to read and relax. With fall here it would also be a great spot to explore local state parks and take a hike, maybe you’ll even get a little leaf peeping in! Plus, in Hudson there are so many small businesses to support from shops to restaurants that will make your stay memorable and meaningful. If you book this airbnb, be sure to check out the amazing antique stores that are so close by.
Modern Barn on the River
I literally gasped when I found this airbnb — it looks modern and magical! As winter is quickly approaching, I wanted to find a property that had great light so that it would feel open and airy even on those short, grey winter days. I’m not gonna lie, the woodburner has me sold, too! I bet that would be so cozy on a cold winter day. Plus, I imagine the view outside through those picture windows amazing on a snowy day. This cozy, modern barn has two bedrooms and plenty of communal space to rest and relax in.
Tiny Tree House
Whether you are looking for a solo escape or a romantic getaway, this airbnb is perfect for either! It’s a tiny tree house that’s full of charm and easy on the wallet, too! What it lacks in space it makes for in views (I mean, just look at that sunset!). It only has one bedroom and bathroom but it uses the space very cleverly and has everything you need. It has self check-in plus a kitchen packed full of amenities, which is impressive given it’s tiny size. Check out the pictures below of it’s window wall system that opens the space up to views of mountains — absolutely stunning!
Hope you enjoy my picks, be sure to let me know what you think of these airbnb recharge retreats, and see my other travel posts.

Hi Will,
I’m a new reader and enjoy your content. As someone who travels a lot, I was hoping to directly see the places shared in this post, but every link leads to the same page with camper/RV destinations. Is there a chance you can update the page with direct links? Thanks!
Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for your comment, sorry lots of the listings have now been removed by the owners since I wrote this :(. I will try to do a new post soon with some great new finds in.
Thanks for reading and sorry about that.
